SPRING CHICK POTTERY- suitable for 6+ years

In this workshop children will make a fluffy spring chick using  the foundational handbuiling skills of pinching and coiling. Children will learn different surface treatment techniques such as scratching, carving and and building to create textures that resemble soft fluffy feathers and  plumage. The chicks will then be painted with vibrant underglazes and then fired and ready for collection in three to four weeks. 

NOTE: The pieces stay at the studio so that they can dry and be fired and glazed. You will receive an email when they are ready but this is a slow process and can take several weeks.
