SPRING MASKS POTTERY - suitable for 6+ years

Using the inspiration of the symbols and colours of spring, children will create a clay mask that they will be able to display as a decorative artwork on the wall. Children will learn slab rolling techniques and use plaster flop molds to make their masks. We will use different surface treatments to embellish and decorate the masks, such as carving and building and the use of brightly coloured underglazes. Finished pieces will be fired  and ready for collection in three to four weeks,. 

NOTE: The pieces stay at the studio so that they can dry and be fired and glazed. You will receive an email when they are ready but this is a slow process and can take several weeks.
