STORY BOOK TILES POTTERY - suitable for 6+ years

In this workshop children will have the opportunity to turn characters from their favourite book  (or movie) into an illustrative and decorative tile that can be displayed on the wall. We will be using slab rolling techniques and different surface treatments to help tell the story through raised pictures on the tiles. Once the tiles have been built up with clay illustrations, children will  then paint the tiles with colourful underglazes to bring the characters to life. Fired tiles will be ready for collection in two to three weeks. 

NOTE: The pieces stay at the studio so that they can dry and be fired and glazed. You will receive an email when they are ready but this is a slow process and can take several weeks.
