Rhonda Pryor
Rhonda Pryor is a contemporary artist practicing across the disciplines of photography, textiles and painting. Her evocative, often highly personal work draws on memory, place and the senses, as a means of expressing an understanding of being human. Thoughts and feelings coalesce into works that seek to subtly reflect emotional responses to experience.
Pryor lives and works in Sydney and holds a Master of Fine Art degree from Sydney College of the Arts. She has exhibited in many solo and group exhibitions, and been a finalist in awards and prizes nationally, most recently The Alice Prize and the Lane Cove Art Award. In 2014 she was the winner of the City of Ryde’s 2014 International Women’s Day Art Prize, and she has been awarded various grants and residencies over her career, including an Australia Council grant for a textile dyeing residency in Japan.
