DROP IN CLASS - WEDNESDAY 20 May
BEYOND THE STRETCH : GENTLE HATHA YOGA, 90 MINS @ Galuwa Recreational Centre
Wednesdays 10.15-11.45
Located at the brand new Galuwa recreational centre in Lane Cove, 180 River Road, Lane Cove
This inclusive yoga class holds a safe, welcoming space for EVERY BODY - regardless of prior yoga experience, how you look or how you feel. Permission-based and kind, this gentle Hatha Yoga class offers a chance to slow down, reconnect with yourself and experience yoga as a practice for the mind and heart as much as the body.
With breath, movement and mindfulness you can look forward to prioritizing calm awareness. Physical postures support the body, but they are not the end goal. Instead, the practice gently settles the mind and nervous system, offering benefits that extend well beyond the mat and into daily life.
Led with creativity, curiosity and intrinsic joy, this class invites mindful connection - helping students feel grounded with a sense of ease, both on and off the mat.
What you may notice most is not how far you can stretch … but how you feel after the class.
We look forward to welcoming you.
WHAT TO BRING
PLEASE NOTE: Yoga props help support the body and make the practice feel so much more nourishing.
We do not currently have props in the Yoga space so please bring a yoga mat and a large blanket or towel for the class.
Any extra props you’d like to bring along (like blocks and a bolster or pillow) will go a long way in enhancing your practice.
Dee Reddy grew up in India and now calls Sydney home. Her classes offer a warm, gentle and nurturing space to slow down and reconnect — a practice for the mind and heart as much as the body.
Trained in Restorative, Hatha, Yin, Tantra Hatha, Somatic, and Trauma-Aware Yoga, Dee blends mindfulness, compassion, and gentle curiosity into every session. She hopes each student leaves her classes feeling calmer, softer, and more at home in themselves. Her biggest joy is working with and for her local community.
When she’s not teaching, Dee can be found knitting, reading, drinking chai, or doting on her rescue pussycat, Tinsel.

Children’s Ceramics Adventure: From Earth to Artwork
9-Week Creative Clay Journey | Ages 8+
This hands-on ceramics course invites children to explore clay as a medium for storytelling, sculpture, design and self-expression. Across the term, students will learn a range of foundational hand-building techniques while developing confidence, creativity and problem-solving skills in a supportive studio environment.
Through a themed journey of “From Earth to Artwork,” students will transform simple pieces of clay into imaginative functional and sculptural works inspired by nature, animals, architecture, texture and personal storytelling. Each week introduces new artistic concepts and technical challenges, allowing students to progressively build skills and create increasingly detailed and individual pieces.
The program combines creative experimentation with structured skill development, encouraging students to think like young ceramic artists while learning how ideas evolve from concept to finished artwork. Students will explore surface design, texture, construction methods, colour application and introductory wheel work, culminating in a collection of unique fired ceramic pieces to take home.
Program Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will:
- Understand and apply key ceramic hand-building techniques including pinch, coil and slab construction;
