Sherelyn Cullen

Sherelyn is an emerging artist living and working in Sydney. Focusing on slip casting and hand building, she explores light and movement through her unique ceramic creations which are architecturally and structurally inspired.
Bolivia is her cultural background, where colour is an important part of regional identities. Colour is an essential element of her design and storytelling.
Having developed a love for shaping clay by hand, Sherelyn’s work is experimental, playful and occasionally accidental.
What energises Sherelyn are pieces with tactile qualities, functional and most importantly bring joy when viewed and used.
Sherelyn completed her Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts (Ceramics) in 2024. Alongside her own creative practice, she’s passionate about sharing her love for pottery through teaching.
Her work has been exhibited in various shows from 2022 to 2024, including the Australian Ceramics Open Studios, Kerrie Lowe Gallery, the Sydney Easter Show, Gallery Lane Cove, and her solo graduation exhibition in Hornsby.
