Tanya Baily

Tanya Baily is an award winning artist specialising in Watercolour Painitng. She lives in Sydney, Australia.She paints almost exclusively in Watercolour and across a range of subject matter.
Tanya completed a Masters of Painting at COFA in 2011, and won the Rex Irwin Prize for painting in the graduation exhibition. In 2019, she won the National Watercolour Prize. She is frequent finalist in a number of National Art Prizes, including the Mosman Prize, The John Leslie Prize, the Elaine Birmingham Prize, the Blacktown City Prize, STILL, the Lethbridge Small Works Prize. She is an elected member of the Australian Watercolour Society, and shows in their Annual Exhibitions. She also shows in private galleries in Sydney and Internationally.
Tanya is a devoted art educator, and runs regular classes and workshops in Watercolour painting in and around Sydney, including The National Art School, Waverley Woollahra Art School, and Artest.
Tanya takes commissions for watercolour paintings, including Portraits of children and Architectural subjects, and her studio practice continues as an exploration of Watercolour Painting,its unique and magical qualities, its history, and its place in the story of painting.
