9 WEEK COURSE

In this term of Art Exploration, children aged 5 to 9 will engage in a series of hands-on creative activities designed to develop imagination, fine motor skills, and artistic techniques. Throughout nine weeks, students will explore sculpture, painting, printmaking, simple animation, and sensory art by creating projects such as a clay coral reef, mini mixed-media artworks, textured prints, a gradient sunset seascape, a thaumatrope, layered print compositions, and a final edible artwork. Each class encourages experimentation with different materials, colours, textures, and processes while fostering creativity, confidence, and joyful artistic expression in a supportive and playful environment.

CREATIVE MAKERS  (AGES 8-12)

Term 3 2026

A rich, skills-based art program where budding artists dive deeper into four disciplines across 9 weeks — pottery, drawing, painting and printmaking — led by two specialist teachers. Students learn real techniques: coil and slab building, observational still life, watercolour composition, relief tile printing and underglaze decoration. The term builds toward a standout final project — a hand-carved self-portrait relief tile, fired and finished to keep. Perfect for children who love making things with their hands and want to grow their creative skills in a focused, inspiring space.

CREATIVE MAKERS 5-7 Years  TERM 3 206

 A hands-on adventure through the world of art, designed especially for little creators. Over 9 weeks, children explore drawing, watercolour painting, pottery, printmaking and mixed media — guided by two specialist teachers in a warm, playful environment. From pinch pots to leaf prints to a final self-portrait collage, every project is designed to build confidence, fine motor skills and a love of making. No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to get messy! Enrolments are limited, so your child gets plenty of individual attention in every class

Term 3 2026 : Sewing with Bronnie - 8+ Thursdays 3.15-5.15

Our 8-week kids' sewing class is perfect for young creators eager to learn the art of sewing in a fun and supportive environment! Over the term, students will master essential sewing techniques, from threading needles to operating a sewing machine, while working on exciting projects like tote bags, comfy shorts, and other fun creations. This hands-on class is designed to build confidence, spark creativity, and equip kids with skills they can use for a lifetime. No prior experience is needed—just a love for making and a willingness to learn!

Children’s Ceramics Adventure: From Earth to Artwork

9-Week Creative Clay Journey | Ages 8+

This hands-on ceramics course invites children to explore clay as a medium for storytelling, sculpture, design and self-expression. Across the term, students will learn a range of foundational hand-building techniques while developing confidence, creativity and problem-solving skills in a supportive studio environment.

Through a themed journey of “From Earth to Artwork,” students will transform simple pieces of clay into imaginative functional and sculptural works inspired by nature, animals, architecture, texture and personal storytelling. Each week introduces new artistic concepts and technical challenges, allowing students to progressively build skills and create increasingly detailed and individual pieces.

The program combines creative experimentation with structured skill development, encouraging students to think like young ceramic artists while learning how ideas evolve from concept to finished artwork. Students will explore surface design, texture, construction methods, colour application and introductory wheel work, culminating in a collection of unique fired ceramic pieces to take home.

Program Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will:

• Understand and apply key ceramic hand-building techniques including pinch, coil and slab construction;
• Develop confidence working with clay tools, texture and decorative processes;
• Explore artistic concepts such as form, balance, storytelling and surface design;
• Progress from simple forms to more complex sculptural and functional works;
• Experiment creatively while refining technical skills week by week;
• Experience the full ceramic process from construction through to glazing and firing preparation.

No experience necessary. Cost of materials and firing included.
Bring a towel and apron.

Term 3 2026: Sewing with Bronnie -10+ Thursdays 5.15-7.15pm

A kids sewing course to introduce them into this life skill whilst having a lot of creative fun along the way. 

As this is an intermediate class. We will be learning how to cut fabric from a pattern, how to set up a machine, seams, straight stitch, zig zag stitch and how to finish off.
