Term 2 2025    Introduction to Painting, Drawing, Sculpture and Mixed Media 5-7 Years

These classes will consist of specific guided activities that focus on offering a wide range of creative experience, developing confidence, the imagination, and skills in following instructions and solving problems. The classes encourage experimentation, with a focus on group and cooperative learning and creating. We will make collages, build things, make sculptures and puppets, paint and draw. Classes will range from focusing on traditional art practices in developing objective and observational awareness, along with the practicalities of working with traditional materials such as paint and mixing colours and how art materials work together, to the experimental; working with different materials and found objects, with the focus being on developing the imagination.
